Common Knowledge Consultancy
Common Knowledge is a network of consultants delivering practical and policy support to the statutory, voluntary and not-for-profit sectors.
All our work has in common the aim of connecting organisational values and understandings to clear objectives and effective action.
We act as sceptical friends to our clients, helping them to create the conditions within which critical thought and the interchange of ideas will flourish. It is upon those qualities that an organisation's capacity for making best possible judgements rest. Our organisational review and development work stands counter to the tendency to encase talking and thinking about organisations within a quasi-technical jargon. Our claim is that we are good generalists, thinking and talking in a language accessible to all, contributing to the development of best possible practice across sectors and operational areas.
Founded fifteen years ago, Common Knowledge has an established track record of working with clients on both short and long-term commissions. Our work is underpinned by a clear set of values and principles.
For all organisations, in whichever sector, and whatever their purpose, we undertake commissions in respect of:
- Governance: roles and responsibilities of trustees
- Management and organisational reviews
- Evaluation and business planning
- Interface between statutory and not-for-profit sectors
- Policy review and development
- Strategy review and development
